A church is just a group of Christians who regularly gather together to encourage and strengthen one another in their faith in Jesus. They do this because to belong to Jesus is also to belong to others. Christians are part of a community that have been called to love and encourage one another. Although a lot of people think of this or that building when they think of a particular church, a church isn’t a building. The buildings are just the place where the church meets. A church is the people gathered together around the Word of Christ to encourage and strengthen one another to follow Jesus and to love and serve others.
