Pastoral Team
Our pastoral team is responsible for leading, encouraging, training and equipping the people at Chatswood Baptist Church.
Philip Calman
Philip Calman is the senior pastor of the Church. As our senior pastor Philip is responsible for encouraging and building up the Church and leading the pastoral team. Philip graduated from Moore Theological College in 1992 and has also completed further studies at Morling College. He is married to Kylie and they have three children. Philip enjoys reading cycling, playing soccer (for the over 35's) bushwalking and coaching his son's soccer team.
Hefin Jones
Hefin is our associate pastor. He is responsible for the Evening church and coordinating our efforts to let people know about Christ. Originally from the UK, Hefin studied at Moore College, and has been involved in student and church ministry both in Australia and overseas. Hefin enjoys reading (a lot!), coffee and bush walking.
Tim Grant
Tim, along with his wife Belinda moved up to sunny Sydney in January 2008 from the far darker yet culturally superior city of Melbourne. He is studying at Moore College. Since becoming a Christian in 2000 whilst studying at university Tim has worked
as a town planner and, more recently has completed an MTS ministry
apprenticeship with AFES. Tim will be involved in Church on Sundays, preaching, and also leads our Junior High Group - TNT.
Belinda Grant
Belinda, along with her husband Tim moved up to sunny Sydney in January 2008 from the far darker yet culturally superior city of Melbourne. Belinda oversees our children’s and women’s ministries.
James Mittelstadt
James has started a four year degree at Moore Theological College in order to know God better so that he can serve Him and His people. James will be involved in Church on Sundays in both services.
Ministry Staff
Anne Batten
Anne works as the Office Administrator for the church. She deals with all the admin matters including producing the weekly church bulletin, setting up the power point presentation and music folders for the morning and evening services. She is married to Tony, has two boys at school who keep her very busy with their school and weekend sport activities.
